Oscar Nomination - Angelina Jolie in The Changeling?

Will Angelina Jolie score a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in The Changeling? After a mighty snub last year for A Mighty Heart, many would consider her due for a second nomination.

Pros: Jolie is starring in a Clint Eastwood film that has already begun to pick up buzz, and her snub last year could certainly help. When she's on fire, she's smoking hot.
Cons: Tabloid overexposure, which may have cost her the nomination last year.

The Dark Knight Tribute to Heath Ledger

I teared up watching this. It is beyond depressing to think there will never be a new Heath Ledger performance after The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is released.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

With the newest installment in the Harry Potter franchise gearing up to hit theaters, my excitement for this film is at a fever pitch. Director David Yates, who directed the last installment Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is back in the directors chair - and is also set to direct the 2-film adaptations of the final Potter tale - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint star.

I'm interested to see Helen McCrory's performance as Narcissa Malfoy, mother to Slytherin "It Boy" Draco Malfoy. So far the casting in the Potter films have been spot-on...I can only hope McCrory lives up to my expectations. Throughout reading the novels, I envisioned the beautiful Naomi Watts playing the role...and was bitterly disappointed when she was not cast. I will, however, give Helen McCrory the benefit of the doubt and wait till I see the film to decide if the right decision was made.



Synopsis:
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, as Harry begins his sixth year at Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort wreaks havoc throughout Britain, and the pressure to defeat him grows stronger. Using an old Potions book which previously belonged to the "Half-Blood Prince," Harry is able to increase his magical knowledge and prepare for battle. First, however, he must help Dumbledore discover the secret to Voldemort's quest for immortality -- the location of his Horcruxes. But the quest for the Horcruxes and the resulting battle at Hogwarts produce a tragic outcome -- leading Harry to believe he must head out on his own to conquer the Dark Lord.
